Services

Understanding that the diaspora community often navigates multiple cultural landscapes, I offer various counseling services that are sensitive to the cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds of my clients.

1:1 Counseling

I provide culturally-informed individual talk therapy for adults (18+) who reside in Washington State. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. My sessions are collaborative and trauma-informed. This means that you ultimately get to determine where and how far you’d like to go within our therapy sessions.

Areas of expertise:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression and other mood disorders
  • Intergenerational trauma
  • Family and/or relationship conflict
  • Loneliness
  • Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islander mental health
  • Masculinity & men’s issues
  • Life transitions
  • Bicultural/multicultural challenges
  • Immigrant & refugee experiences
  • Impacts of systems of oppression

Cost:

Initial intake evaluation (75 min): $210

Sessions (55 min): $165

I have limited, need-based sliding scale options for clients who are uninsured or underinsured.

Insurance:

I accept Premera, Lifewise, and most BlueCross/BlueShield plans. I will soon be accepting First Choice and Kaiser Permanente PPO (currently pending).

I also provide superbills for clients who are wanting to use their out-of-network benefits.

Men's Group

This is a therapy group designed for Asian cis men who are feeling disconnected in their relationships and environment, and wanting to find a space to express themselves and better connect with others. Through this process group, you will not only get to connect with other Asian cis men and learn from their experiences, but learn more about yourself and your patterns in relating to others. You will get opportunities to practice communicating with vulnerability and feeling more comfortable with emotional intimacy in relationships. You will get to explore the experience of masculinity, your Asian identity, and the ways in which this intersection affects the challenges you face and ways that you may interact with the world around you. This may include areas of your life such as romantic relationships, family, friendships, career, and sexuality.

Organization/Community Events

I have facilitated community events, provided cultural consultations, and led workshops that aim to address mental health needs and community healing. I enjoy organizational consultation work that can uplift and advocate for underserved communities, strengthen cultural understanding, and challenge systemic barriers.

I recognize that there are many ways to heal outside of therapy and want to bring the intentional, informed, and grounded environment I offer in the therapy room into community spaces. My workshops and community events tend to emphasize diasporic and cross-generational connection.

Rates vary depending on the scope of the request and limited sliding scale spots are available for underserved communities and small organizations whose work center the needs of underserved communities.
